Is this degree for you?

In TMU’s Computer Engineering degree program, you’ll learn how to design and develop the hardware, software, and electronic systems that allow computing devices to become smaller, sleeker and smarter.

Throughout your journey, you’ll learn how technology impacts society and the environment. In first year, you’ll study engineering fundamentals, like calculus, physics, and electric circuit analysis. As you progress, you’ll master concepts such as computer architecture, cloud computing, and AI – with an option to specialize in software engineering. In fourth year, your capstone design project will provide you with hands-on design and implementation experience, and opportunities to participate in industry collaborative projects.

You’ll also have many opportunities to gain experience, including optional paid co-op, supervised research projects and student teams, such as our award-winning Toronto MetRobotics team.
