Observation/ELC
In this course students develop expertise in using effective methods for observing, recording and analyzing children's behaviour and development. Students have the opportunity to practice a variety of observation methodologies and to discuss topics related to observer bias, subjectivity and objectivity, and making references. They also undertake participant and non-participant observation in the Early Learning Centre to introduce them to the rhythms and demands of child-care.
