Things to consider when booking TMU Outdoor Spaces

When requesting to reserve an outdoor space on campus, it is essential to consider the following key factors:

  1. Dates: Confirm the specific dates and duration of your event. Determine the hours you will need the outdoor space to ensure availability.
  2. Specific location: While you may have a preferred outdoor space, it is important to be flexible. Consider alternative outdoor spaces on campus in case your initial choice is unavailable.
  3. Additional services: Assess the additional services you may require for your event's success. These could include access to electricity, washrooms, Wi-Fi, and more. The Event & Space Reservations Services team can guide you to the relevant resources on campus.
  4. Approvals: Determine the deadline by which you need your space request to be approved. Keep in mind that depending on the space you are booking, the approval process may take 10 to 60 business days. Note that certain outdoor spaces may require you to apply for a Street Closure Permit from the City of Toronto.

By considering these key factors, you can streamline the reservation process and ensure a smooth and successful outdoor event on the campus.
