KCSF Scholarship & Bursary
Established in 1978, the Korean Canadian Scholarship Foundation (KCSF) is a registered charity dedicated to supporting young Canadians through scholarships, bursaries, and student development programs. Each year, KCSF awards scholarships and bursaries to 30-40 exemplary post-secondary students who are either of Korean heritage or have demonstrated a significant and meaningful connection to the Korean community.

Allied Van Lines Scholarship 2024

The McCall MacBain Scholarships (external link, opens in new window) are Canada’s first comprehensive, leadership-based scholarships for master’s and professional studies. The program brings together students who strive to engage in positive change by taking on meaningful leadership roles. The McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill are Canada’s first comprehensive, leadership-driven scholarships for master’s and professional degree studies. The scholarship program brings together a diverse group of scholars who aspire to lead with purpose – those who have demonstrated leadership potential and an inner drive to make a positive impact in other peoples’ lives.
The scholarships were announced in February 2019 by John and Marcy McCall MacBain, through a landmark gift of $200 million (external link, opens in new window) . At the time, it was the single largest gift in Canadian history. Based on their work over the years with some of the top scholarships around the world – such as the Rhodes Scholarships in Oxford, the Mandela Rhodes Scholarships in Cape Town, and the Kupe Scholarships in New Zealand – they felt it was crucial that Canada have a comprehensive master’s-level scholarship that builds on, but is not limited to, academic excellence.
Up to 30 full scholarships and 100 entrance awards ($5,000 to $20,000) are available. Two-thirds of the scholarships are available for Canadian students, and one-third are for international students in Canada and abroad.
The Scholarship Covers:
- Tuition and fees for 150+ eligible programs at McGill University
- A living stipend of $2,000 per month during academic terms
- Mentors, advisors, and coaching
- A leadership development program
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply for the 2025 cohort, you will need to meet one of the following criteria:
- You are a current student on track to earn your first bachelor’s degree by August 2025
- You earned your first bachelor’s degree in the last five years (January 2019 or later)
- You earned your first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago, and are 30 years or younger in 2024
You will need to meet the minimum degree and language requirements (external link, opens in new window) for McGill master’s program admission. Contact McGill Graduate Admissions if you have questions about the university’s minimum requirements for admission.

2025 Scholarship
Up to eleven Rhodes Scholarships are awarded annually in Canada, including two in Ontario. A Rhodes Scholarship is tenable at the University of Oxford. The Rhodes Scholarship, established in 1903, is the oldest international scholarship programme in the world and one of the most prestigious. Administered by the Rhodes Trust in Oxford, the programme offers over 100 fully-funded scholarships each year for full-time postgraduate study at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom - one of the world’s leading universities. Rhodes Scholarships are for young leaders of outstanding intellect and character who are motivated to engage with global challenges, committed to the service of others and show promise of becoming value-driven, principled leaders for the world’s future.
The Rhodes Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students in all faculties. The scholarship covers all university course fees, a personal stipend from which Scholars pay all living/accommodation expenses, and two economy-class flights (one at the start of the scholarship and one at the end of the scholarship) to study at Oxford University. Deciding to Apply
Before applying for a Rhodes Scholarship, you should research the academic programs at Oxford University to determine which program best fits your goals and interests. For further information, visit the University of Oxford (external link, opens in new window) website.

Eligibility Criteria
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada (students who are attending a Canadian university on a student visa are not eligible to apply)
- Be domiciled in Canada
- Must be aged 18-23 on October 1, 2024 (i.e. you must have been born after October 1, 2000 and before October 2, 2006). Or, for older candidates who completed their first undergraduate degree later must be under the age of 27 on October 1, 2024 (i.e. have been born after October 1, 1997) AND you must also have completed your first undergraduate degree on or after October 1, 2023
- Have completed or will have completed by July 2025, an undergraduate degree from a college or university (normally a bachelor's degree) with an academic background and grade that - at a minimum - meets or exceeds the specific entry requirements of your chosen course at the University of Oxford (external link, opens in new window)
Selection of Scholars
The Rhodes Trust focuses on four criteria that are used in the selection of scholars:
- Academic excellence: the University of Oxford is one of the most competitive graduate environments in the world and applicants must meet or exceed the entry requirements of their chosen course.
- Energy to use your talents to the full (as demonstrated by mastery in areas such as sports, music, debate, dance, theatre, and artistic pursuits, particularly where teamwork is involved).
- The Virtues: truth, courage, devotion to duty, sympathy for and protection of the weak, kindliness, unselfishness and fellowship.
- Moral force of character and instincts to lead, and to take an interest in one's fellow human beings.
The detailed eligibility criteria vary slightly depending on which constituency you are applying for. You can use the eligibility checker tool (external link, opens in new window) to determine if you meet the requirements and are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.
Rhodes Scholarship selection and application process at TMU
The process for candidates has two parts: an internal application process by the TMU Awards and Ceremonials Committee (AWCC) and an external Rhodes Scholarship application (external link, opens in new window) submitted to the Rhodes Trust online portal.
All candidates currently attending a university must earn the endorsement of their university President or equivalent representative. TMU has an internal screening process that must be followed to receive a written endorsement from the President.
Students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 4.0 to be eligible for a presidential endorsement.

Referee letters
You should contact your six referees (at least three or more of your referees should speak to your academics and two or more of your six referees should testify to your character) and provide them with the two-page Canadian Guidance for Referees document found on the Information for Referees (external link, opens in new window) page. Referees may submit a copy of their reference letters to awards@torontomu.ca.
Document Submission
Birth certificate, valid passport, official transcripts and photographs are not required for TMU’s internal process. -
Your application will be reviewed by the AWCC which will provide a recommendation to the President for endorsement.

Candidates will be emailed the status of their application during the university’s internal screening process.

What are the Global Undergraduate Awards?
The Undergraduate Awards acknowledge excellence in undergraduate academia across all disciplines through an international call for top scholarly submissions. Students submit high-quality coursework to compete against top undergraduate scholars from around the world.
Why should I submit my coursework?
This is a unique opportunity to have your work recognized by an international panel of expert judges working in some of the world’s top academic institutions. Global Gold Medal recipients of The Undergraduate Awards are invited to Dublin to receive their medal and attend a three-day Global Summit (including complimentary travel and summit ticket). Highly Commended (top 10%) are invited to attend the Global Summit.
Students selected to receive The Undergraduate Awards also have access to support, the UA alumni network and other opportunities to raise their profiles and further their career paths.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
- Students from the classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025 (includes second-entry undergraduate degree programs such as law, medicine, dentistry, business, social work, etc.)
- Part-time students who are studying an undergraduate degree may also take part in UA, on the basis that they have completed at least two-thirds of their program.
- There are 25 degree and subject/module categories (external link) ranging from the sciences, to social science, to arts and humanities, to professional programs.
What Can I Submit?
Any piece of individual undergraduate coursework that received an "A" grade or higher (external link) .

Selection Criteria
Students are chosen for their innovative approach to their subject area – "creating world-class research to tackle some of the world’s toughest challenges." The Undergraduate Awards gather a panel of academics in each field to anonymously assess the work. They select the top 10% in each category, and from that, the winner.
How to Submit

Register online at undergraduateawards.com (external link, opens in new window) . Interested students should do this step immediately to hold your space and ensure you will be able to submit their final papers by the deadline.

Once your paper is polished, submit them independently to The Global Undergraduate Awards (external link, opens in new window) by June 7, 2024. Submit your coursework online, making sure your name and university is not included in the actual submission.
It is free to register or enter your work. Students may enter up to three individual submissions.
